CURLING 101

Curling 101 is for anyone new to the sport of curling and takes place on the half-size Studio Rink. This 2 hour program focuses on the basics of curling both in the classroom and on the ice.

Curling 101 includes:

• Part 1 - Classroom Session - appx 45-60 min

  • Brief History of Curling

  • Safety

  • Terminology

  • Rules

  • Game Play

• Part 2 - On Ice Instruction - appx 45-60 min

  • Delivering the Stone

  • Sweeping

All events take place at the Ice Factory of Central Florida in Kissimmee.

Cost: $30 per person

CURLING 102

Curling 102 is the next step in your curling journey following a Learn2Curl or Curling 101 session and takes place on the full-sized rink. This 2 1/2 hour program re-emphasizes the basics, introduces strategy, and focuses on honing skills learned in the previous class.

Curling 102 includes:

• Part 1 - Classroom Session - appx 30-45 min

  • Brief Review of the Basics

  • Advanced Rules

  • Strategy Introduction

  • Questions & Answers

• Part 2 - On Ice Practice - appx 30-45 min

  • Basics refresher

  • Practice Delivering the Stone

  • Practice Sweeping

• Part 3 - Beginner Game - appx 60-90 min

  • Play a few ends in a beginner’s game with some experienced club members coaching you along the way.

Pre-requisite: Previously completed Curling 101 or Learn2Curl Session

All events take place at the Ice Factory of Central Florida in Kissimmee.

Cost: $40 per person.
